Part 1:
There are actually two installations to be performed before using Abacus Club Manager Demo. In part one, Abacus Club Manager Demo itself is installed. In Part 2, the Microsoft Snapshot Viewer is installed. The Snapshot Viewer is used to see the sample reports that ship with Abacus Club Manager Demo.
At this point you should shut down any software, such as virus
protection programs, that starts automatically when your computer starts. Virus protection
programs can interfere with Club Manager's installation. To re-start protection software,
reboot your computer when the installation process finishes. The installation process should
start automatically when you insert the installation disk. If it does not start, run Windows
Explorer, move to your CD Rom drive and click on "Setup.exe". Depending on which software is
alredy installed on your machine, you might or might not see the message shown below.
If you do see this message, please read the instructions and click the 'OK' button to reboot your computer. The installation
process should start automatically after the reboot. If it does not start, again, run Windows
Explorer, move to your CD Rom drive and click on "Setup.exe". You will now see Figure 1.
Figure 1.

You have 3 options. You can install Club Manager only, the Snapshot Viewer only, or you can install both. You are strongly advised to install both, which is the default. Even if you don't use the Snapshot Viewer, it takes very little disk space and will not interfere with your computer's functioning. Also if you happen to lose your installation disk, and have installed only Club Manager, you would have to replace the disk before installing the Snapshot Viewer. However, Club Manager Demo and the Snapshot Viewer are independent installations and, if you want, each can be installed by itself. If you install one, you can install the second one later without having to re-install the first one. If you are absolutely certain that you don't need to view reports, you have the option of installing Club Manager only. If you change your mind and decide to use the Snapshot Viewer, you can always install it later. Indicate your decision by clicking on the desired radio button. Then click "Install Now". You will now see figure 2. Click the "Next" button at the bottom right of the screen to continue.

In the next dialog box, Figure 3, you decide which disk drive and directory the software will be installed in. This is called the "Club Manager Home Directory".
Please remember the name of this directory since it will be referred to throughout the manual. On most machines, the default path is the "C:\Program Files\Abacus Club Manager Demo". You are advised to take the default.

You will now see figure 4 which asks for a final confirmation that you want to install the software in the indicated directory. Again, click the "Next" button at the bottom right to continue.

You will see Figure 5 after the installation finishes. Click the "Close button at the bottom right of the screen.

Part 2:
It is now time to install the Snapshot Viewer. You will now see figure 6 which asks for confirmation that you want to install the Snapshot Viewer at this time. Click the "Yes" button at the bottom of the dialog box and proceed to figure 7..

As with Abacus Club Manager Demo, you must select a location where the Snapshot Viewer is to be installed. Figure 9, prompts you for this location. This is called the "Club Manager Home Directory". Please remember the name of this directory since it will be referred to throughout the manual. On most machines, the default path is the "C:\Program Files\Snapshot Viewer". You are advised to take the default by clicking the "OK" button at the bottom of the dialog box.
